- WOAH! WELCOME TO THE SOUNDS OF "NEW" AMERICA!
This is no doubt the best song that I've heard that have come out in response to the September 11th attacks. Tippin adds his strong voice to what will surely become an anthem for America. It will stand the test of time, as surely songs like Live's "Overcome," Paul McCartney's "Freedom," and the brand new version of "God Bless the U.S.A." by Christian band Jump5 will. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for not only giving me the gift of life and Eternal Salvation, but giving me the privilege of being born in this God-blessed country. Let us move forward, and move on to triumphant victory in the new war on terrorism. Buy the single, and be proud that you've been blessed by God to live in America. Grade: A+

- Stirring, patriotic country classic!
I rarely if ever rush out to buy singles, instead choosing to wait for them to appear on albums. However, I simply could not wait to own this amazing song, so I bought it right away. Although a "contemporary" country singer, Aaron Tippin has always maintained a traditional flavor in most of his songs, which I very much appreciate. This song is a good example.
"Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagly Fly" could, I think, become a country classic: it is patriotic (but not cheesy), has a stirring and catchy melody, and has very timely (yet timeless also) lyrics.

- It's 2002! We need a new anthem and this is it!
As a Black person I don't normally hang out at "country music land". But I happened to catch this song and THIS SONG ROCKS!
He's singing about the nation but from a person by person point of view.
With this song Aaron is "Keepin' it real". Unlike other patriotic songs he's admitting we have Issues as a nation but we're still second to none. I'm cast my vote for a new anthem.
P.S. This one is easier to sing and doesn't exclude anyone.
- Aaron Tippin's Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly
The other reviewers have mostly done an excellent job. Aaron Tippin, like Alan Jackson (whom I also reviewed), replied to the September 11 terror with what he does best, Country Music. This one has the beat and the words that bring back the best of traditional Country but also the best of modern times and our response to indiscriminate terror. Some young people think that it's *cool* to praise New Yorkers for their courage but not to sing or dance or whistle or hum to people like Aaron and Alan whose souls express themselves in music in reacting to September 11. They probably never heard Willie Nelson, Tammy Wynette, Mary Chapin Carpenter (in her Saturday Night at the Twist and Shout), or for that matter Beethoven who was blind and deaf but wrote the world's greatest music in the face of the dictator Napoleon (whom he told off and was spared because of his courage). Country Music is the Modern version of the old Classical Music - the old Creative Geniuses Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn, Chopin, Vivaldi, Verdi, Strauss, etc.
Tippin tells it like it is. He tells the good parts of America the way he experiences them. Yes, loving your wife and your nation and your dreams and your flag can be very *cool*. Try it, you'll like it!
