Billy Ray Cyrus Album: “Time Flies”

TIME FLIES is truly a wonderful album. Though I may be a bit biased cause I've been a fan for so long, I truly think this is some of Billy's best work since his original "Achy Breaky Heart" days. It's great to hear some of the songs from his TV series DOC show up on the album, in addition to an acoustic version of "Some Gave All" - which everyone loves! The new single "Back To Memphis" very solid as well. I highly recommend TIME FLIES to anyone who's BRS fan, or country fan in general. My advice is to go pick up the album!

This is a great cd. Been out for awhile but now you can get it everywhere because you could only get this from Pax tv. If you are a Billy Ray fan this is awesome. Some gave all Acoustic version is great just like all 15 songs on the cd.

If you are a Billy Ray Cyrus fan this is a must have every song on the album is great. I first heard alot of his songs from Time Flies in concert summer 2002. Also look for Billy's new album coming in October called The Other Side. i am a huge billy Fan since Some Gave All and have all of his albums which are great. Time Flies is just another example how great Billy is. Also you can catch billy's new videos on GAC.

Many country music fans--myself included--where somewhat offended when Cyrus left radio for TV. He may be a good actor--I haven't seen his show, "Doc," but I've seen a couple of bit-parts in movies--but first and foremost he is a country music rocker.

Like I said, I was offended when he left radio.

This CD more than makes up for it!

Cyrus returns to his rockin' side on this album. "I Luv Ya" is a flat-out rocker, with "Bread Alone" and "Close to Gone" using rockin' rythms to convey serious topics. "She Don't Love me (She Don't Hate Me)" is a catchy number about running into an old flame who pretty much ignores you; "The Way It Is" talks about a husband/father explaining to his family why he had an affair. "Time Flies" talks about how fast life passes us by; "Hard to Leave" is about those women who we all love, but know will lead to heartache. As an added bonus, we have an acoustic version of "Some Gave All", one of Cyrus's all-time best.

That's not the only ode to the past, though. There's also a mention of an "Achy Breaky Heart" in "Hard to Leave." If you don't know what song "Heart" is, then you were under a rock in the early nineties.

It is also nice to see some Cyrus-penned tunes on this CD, as his last, "Southern Rain," featured only two. His songwriting really is as good as his singing. He packs a lot of emotion into his words as well as his voice, and that makes him a genuine country artist.

So, if you've seen him on television, or heard him on the radio, or even have no idea who he is, this is still an awesome CD that you must have. "Time Flies" will fly into your ears. Ha, ha.

I was impressed by Billy Ray Cyrus' songs on a TV show he starred in and wanted to get some of his recordings. So far I have purchased 7. I like some of his work but find it a little uneven in quality. I probably won't purchase any more but I will still use the seller and keep what I have bought.
