If you've attended a Brenda Lee concert, you may very much liked this c.d.
This is just what you would enjoy at one of Brenda's concerts in approx 1993.
Here are several of her hits, and some songs that have been album tracks over the years.
One of my personel favorites, and always a crowd pleaser,
is the "Gospel medley" included here.
Having been a Brenda Lee fan for some years, these recordings bring back
many happy memories of the days when I would often go to Brenda's concerts.
The liner, c.d., and back cover are attractive looking, there aren't any liner notes.
At the center bottom on the front of the C.D. is "L.T.SERIES"
On the back is stated "Original artist, new recordings"
Didmode Enterainment Ltd. U.K. released in 2007.
This c.d. is digital audio, and sounds great.
Produced by "Allarcom Productions LTD", made in Germany.
Footnote: I've seen this music priced for $2.00 to $200.00.
I can't imagine were the $200.00 figure comes from,
except that it is an eariler 1993 release by "Allegro Corporation"
of this SAME music.
The 2007 variety can easily be purchased for well under $10.00 from several sellers.
Titled - "I'm Sorry, Brenda Lee".
I've seen add's for this c.d. mention it has 29 tracks.
That's not so, they're counting each section of the medleys. There are 13 tracks.
Track listing:
1. Coming on strong
2. You don't have to say you love me
3. How much love
4. Medley of her hits ~ Jambalaya ~ Is it true ~ My whole world is falling down ~
Sweet nothin' ~ The end of the world ~ All alone am I
5. Your Mama don't dance
6. You're the one that I want
7. Medley ~ when you're smiling ~ You ought to be in pictures ~
Put on a happy face ~ Smile ~ Baby face
(During this medley Brenda often mingled with the audience,
one of the band member would follow her with a Polaroid camera,
and Brenda would have her picture taken with someone in the audience.
Then they'd give that person the photo, and later if you wanted,
Brenda would autograph it for you)
8. I'm sorry
9. Silver threads and golden needles
10. Johnny one time
11. That's all you gotta do
12. Medley of her hits ~ Dum dum ~ Fool number one ~
Too many rivers ~ Jambalaya
13. Gospel medley ~ Good old Acappella (soul to soul) ~ The old landmark ~
(Some glad morning) I'll fly away ~ Operator ~ Saved.
P.S. - After writing the above comments I listened to my copy again.
Yes it's quite different than the original recordings of Brenda's youth.
But this recording of a Brenda Lee concert definitely deserves a place
in anyones collection who appreciates the energy and amazing vocal abilities
Brenda has here in 1993.
Obviously Brenda's concerts are a trip down memory lane.
Brenda's music triggers memories of a life time.
And as the millions that have seen Brenda's shows all over the world,
and followed her career will know, this is like her shows over the past many years.
If you're one of those who have been to a Brenda Lee concert,
or one of her night club shows, you might enjoy owning a reminder,
of that place in time, the one you were with, and some pleasant memories.
This CD is live, in concert. The music is terrible! not like the Brenda lee one is expecting. It is awful I can not give it One star ! False info on it's description !
The title fits the product!
