- The albums prior to Fire On The Mountain
My brain is somewhat foggy, this site does not list the tracks of the CD. I never thought this would be released on CD. As the other reviewer stated, this is for diehard fans. Under the "diehard" context I would give all his early albums fives. I remember Honey in the Rock well, I never had Te John, but I'm confused about the first solo album. Mind you my mind is foggy after all these years, but the first one had the state of Tennessee on the cover(roadmap) I think. Had the song with the lyrics, "If the CIA and the FCC and the IRS found out that J. Edger Hoover and the FBI owned stock in ATT". Classic, or what.
The album I cannot remember is the one of Charlie Daniels leaning on the bar on the cover. For the life of me I can't remember any of the songs on that one. I think also, he might have repackaged one of these with a different album cover, also. But anyway, Out on the desert when the wind blows the sand..............Go buy this one, I remember most of the lyrics, and haven't heard them in twenty years.

- First Come
Being the first Charlie Daniels album to be released, one might think it contains the same sound that all other albums contain. That is not entirely so. Although the album is good, the recording does not sound as good as the albums released a few years after. The music is a little more blues sounding and a little less country then other CDB albums, but still has that Southern Rock sound the Charlie Daniels conveys on all albums. I wouldn't recommend this album for first time fans, but rather something to save for serious fans that know the sound from an album doesn't have to be perfect for the song to sound good.

- Decent start
This is Charlie Daniels' first solo album, never released until now, recorded in 1970. At times on this album you will hear the future Charlie, other songs are throw aways. Best song is the nearly 6min. blues "39 miles from Mobile". A decent start of Charlie, nothing special. The sound is average, his voice is burried in the mix not like his later albums. For die hard fans only.
