Disco de Charlie Daniels Band: “Fire On The Mountain”

The Charlie Daniels Band has seen its ups and downs over the years, but none of it matters to the fans who own this album (sorry - CD). Every song is crafted perfectly, music to lyrics, the words obviously came first. Don't even bother putting it in the home CD changer, just plop it in the car stereo, back out of the garage - hopefully top down - get on the first highway or abandon country road you can find and turn the volume to one notch above bearable. Even if you are sixty-five you'll be singing along like a sixteen year old on the way to pick up his date on the first night his parents let him use the car. This damn CD is simply the best driving music ever written. Don't tell me about your favorites until you've heard mine, it's cost me at least ten speeding tickets already and it's worth it

In the world of Southern Rock, this album tops the charts. Charlie Daniels does a great job blending blues, country, rock, and the wonders of the south on this album. The re-release of "Trudy" and "Georgia" are by far perfected compared to their original release on the album "Charlie Daniels". For those just getting into The Charlie Daniels Band, this album is a great place to start. A definite must for fans of Southern Rock and Country Rock.

to me this is the ultimate CDB cd, with stand out tracks like, long haired country boy, trudy, georgia, the south's gonna do it, orange blossom special, to be honest they are all stand out tracks!!! if you like old lynyrd skynyrd, or the allman bros. or even marshall tucker, do yourself a favor and get this cd!!!, true southern boogie!!

This was great start to finish. Way more than just a country album. Blues and rock it has it all.

Fire on the Mountain is a GREAT album. But this CD version sounds pretty awful. Charlie's back catalogue is criminally in need of restoration. A lot of his best albums arent even in print, and the ones that are like this one suffer from horrible digital transfers. Fortunately i also own this on vinyl, and it sounds 1000 times better. Until someone remasters these great albums, do yourself a favor and just get the actual LP.
