All the songs on this package are winners, I promise you. I followed Charlie Rich's career from the days his wife Margaret used to drive his tapes into Memphis from Arkansas. She wrote "Life Has Its Little Ups and Downs" included here. The rest of the tunes are generally of his "countrypolian" years. But this is not a definitive compilation. You have a long way to go to have a real history and full understanding of his talent if this is your only purchase.

I never really heard much Charlie Rich growing up. However, there were two songs of his, "Behind Closed Doors" and "The Most Beautiful Girl" that I knew about and truly enjoyed. These songs were the reason I bought the CD. Turns out, there are other good songs on here, too!!

All through the 70's I listened to Charlie Rich. This bring back such memories!! Country was country and not complicated. Just pure and simple.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for Mom. The CD plays well and I was glad to have received it promptly. Great music!!
