Clay Walker Album: “Greatest Hits”
Description :
Engineers include: Lynn Peterzell, Julian King, Russ Martin. <p>Clay Walker's GREATEST HITS features some of the boy from Beaumont's finest moments. From the hits that helped to put him on the map ("Live Until I Die," with its uplifting fiddles and wistful lyric) to some of his latter day classics ("Rumor Has It"), the album traces Walker's ascent from the Rodeo circuit to the fore of contemporary Country music. Armed with expertly crafted, radio-friendly tunes, flawless studio performance, and, of course, his clear, deep voice, Walker has earned a place among the greats, singing with the conviction of a gospel singer and the skill of a true craftsman. GREATEST HITS is one milestone in a career which will go down in history.

- The best from country's best young male artist.

Since he emerged in 1993, Clay Walker has been a consistent force on the country charts. All 12 of his top 10 hits are here, along with two new tracks. From the uptempo gems like "What's It To You," "Rumor Has It," and "Live Until I Die" to the moving ballads such as "Hypnotize The Moon" and "Watch This" Walker can do it all. Especially noteworthy is "Then What," a cautionary tale of infidelity made light-hearted through its use of Caribbean rhythms. Clay Walker represents the best of young country and this Greatest Hits represents the best of Clay Walker.

- Country's Brightest Star Strikes Again!

If you enjoy country music, this is the C.D. for you. Clay Walker is clearly country music's most underrated and under-awarded artist and this collection of hits is sure to bring a smile to even the most cynical of faces. The two new songs ("You're Beginning to Get to Me" and "Ordinary People") are excellent showpieces of Clay's broad range of talent and the other "hits" on the CD speak for themselves. Whether you prefer the calypso style of "Then What" or the pop-rock style of "Dreamin' with My Eyes Wide Open," you're sure to want to hear this CD over and over again. AND DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT "CLAY WALKER'S VIDEO HITS" FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS THAT ACCOMPANY THESE HITS!

- So Glad I bought this CD!

This CD is a definite "A". Every song is good to listen to and the order chosen is also good. There are a lot of short, upbeat, fun songs ("You're Beginning to get to me", "Then What", "If I could Make a Living", "Who Needs You Baby" and "Only on Days that end in Y") but this CD has so much more to offer than those. There are a lot of sweet romantic songs, it seems to me as if this CD is just a celebration of life. Friendship and love characterize most of the songs, so it's very up-lifting. All in all, a great CD to have and enjoy.

- Wonderful CD!

I bought this CD quite some time ago, and I still listen to it regularly. He is excellent on ballads, such as Hynotize the Moon and Watch This, as well as up-tempo numbers like If I Could Make A Living and Then What. There is not a bad song on this set. Keep it coming, Clay.

- Lovin' It Up

If you are thinking about purchasing this CD don't hesitate. I borrowed it from a friend of mine because I figured I would know a couple of songs. I ended up knowing all of them. I was cruising in my car, singing at the top of my lungs. It was great! Take my word, spend the money on this investment.
