- welcome back Clay

It's great to have Clay back with an album that is just soooo good! And man, does he do it in style! You really can't ask for much more in a country album, & that's what's on offer here - great vocals, superb musicians, & Keith Stegall's production expertise at its very best. And the songs? Well, there's not a bad number amongst the lot, although "People in Planes" is probably not of the same calibre as the rest. Still, it's quirky & interesting, & it ain't bad. The best tracks are the title song "She Won't Be Lonely Long" (great lyrics, very neatly tied together), "Jesse James (my personal favourite), "Double Shot of John Wayne" (all nostalgia fans will relate to the message here), "All American" (one for the patriots, & one that surprisingly, has a real feelgood message in it, not one that just pays lip service), and the beautiful ballad (and bonus track), "Feels so Right", with Clay being accompanied by Randy Owen. This album is truly a treat folks. Sure, I could wallow in specifics & sit here and disect every track for you, but hell, that'd just be a waste of time & space. My tip to you, is just to go out & listen to it. Put the headphones on, shut out the rest of the world, put your feet up, lie back, & enjoy. This is country music at its best. More please, Clay.

- Texas Artist

Great Texas artist with excellent songs! Ernest Clayton Walker Jr. was born on August 19, 1969 in Beaumont, Texas to Ernest and Danna Walker. The oldest of five children, Walker lived in Vidor with his father, who gave him a guitar when he was nine years old. Walker began entering talent competitions at age fifteen. After leaving his shift as nighttime desk clerk at a Super 8 Motel in his teenage years, Walker stopped at a local radio station to deliver a tape of a song that he had written. Although the morning disc jockey told him that the station's policies prohibited playing self-submitted tapes, he played Walker's song and said that it was "too good to pass up."

After graduating from Vidor High School in 1987, Walker began working at a Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company plant. At age nineteen, he also began touring as a musician in the state of Texas, playing at various local clubs and eventually finding work as the house singer at a bar in Beaumont called the Neon Armadillo. In November 1992, Walker was discovered by James Stroud, a record producer who was also the president of Warner Music Group subsidiary Giant Records. Walker signed to Giant late in the year.

Fabulous - Clay is definitely on best form again. The title song is immediately catchy as are all of the remaining songs. Love Clay Walker, especially love this one.

- Love This

In my opinion Clay Walker just keeps getting better. I love this CD. I like all of these songs but my favorites are: She Won't Be Lonely Long, Like We Never Said Goodbye, and Wrong Enough To Know. If you like Clay Walker buy this CD.

- great music

I have always love Clay Walker's music. The songs are written and sung from the heart and with passion. I hope I'll see more great music from Clay in the near future and don't have to wait years for another great album.
