- A great re-issue of a classic. Only the name is changed

If any one out there remembers back in the late 70's/early 80's when the late Conway Twitty was one of the hottest artists in Country Music, then you probably remember an album from that time period called "Mr. T". Well, here it is with a new title. Now named for one of the biggest hits from the album, its new title is "Red Neckin', Love Makin' Night", but no matter what the title, it's classic Conway Twitty. From "Cheatin' Fire" to the original version of "I'm ALready Taken" (yes that is the same song Steve Wariner just had out, and the Conway Twitty version is even better with a female vocalist singing the chorus), this is a great CD. "Love Salvation" is a great little funky R&B tune, while I "Made You A Woman" is in the style of so many other classic traditional-sounding Twitty hits. Probably the biggest hit in this collection is "Tight Fittin' Jeans", while my personal favorite is Conway's beautiful version of Waylon Jennings' classic "We Had It All." Well, I think that's enough said. If you like Conway Twitty, or even if you're a new convert to Country Music and you want to see what all the older fans see in his music, buy this CD. It's more than worth the money. The only thing I can say is that with it's new title, this collection just proves the old saying to be true: A rose by any other name is still as sweet.

- Mr. T from 1981

Mr. T was the name of a Conway album on MCA in 1981. This CD is a re-issue of that album. The original album shown Conway on a green yard standing in front of a green car, pulling his gloves on...with what looks like croquet balls on the ground. anyway, all 10 songs are great. my favorites are "Tight Fittin' Jeans", "Cheatin' Fire", "Slow Lovemakin", "Red Neckin' Love Makin' Night", "We Had It All", and "Love Salvation". The woman on "I'm Already Taken" is Conway's daughter, Kathy. She also made an appearance on an earlier Conway album in 1973 on the song "Don't Cry Daddy" as well as 1975's "I'm Getting Tired of Losing You". This album serves as a reminder of how great a vocalist Conway was {listen to "We Had It All" or "I Made You a Woman" for proof!!}. this re-issue goes hand in hand with the other 1995 re-issue of Conway's 1980 album REST YOUR LOVE ON ME called "A Bridge That Just Won't Burn".

- Brilliant

Conway Twitty is amongst the best Country Singers of all time. His interpretation of all styles of Country Music is Mind Blowing. A truly world class singer who is sadly missed by all. Same vocal quality as Elvis. Could sing anything.
