Craig Morgan Album: “My Kind of Livin'”
Description :
Enhancements include a music video for "That's What I Love About Sunday."
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
Personnel include: Craig Morgan (vocals); Bryan Sutton (acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin); Jeff King (electric guitar); Mike Johnson (steel guitar, dobro); Larry Franklin (fiddle); Jim Brown (piano, keyboards); Kevin Grant (bass instrument); Eddie Bayers (drums).
Recording information: Emerald Studios, Nashville, Tennessee.
Craig Morgan has said in interviews that his 10 years of active military service gave him a lot of time to think about his life back home. Apparently, the long hours of hurry-up-and-wait honed his eye for detail, as the songs on MY KIND OF LIVIN' are filled with vivid imagery. Though much of the music has a smooth pop slant, Morgan's twangy George Strait-like voice and down-home lyrics are all country. In fact, "I'm Country" is an affirmation of the singer's rustic roots, giving a tip of the hat to everything from black-eyed peas to the NRA. "If You Like That" is an ideal wedding song, matching gentle keyboards and sweet fiddles with a suitor's question-popping promise of a simple life. "Redneck Yacht Club" is a good-time examination of summer lakeside hi-jinks, set to funky clavinet and mandolin-picking. Unabashedly proud of his rural lifestyle, Craig Morgan paints pictures that invite the listener back home for a visit on MY KIND OF LIVIN'.

- Great Album

This is a great record. I was first turned onto Craig from the song "Almost Home". This whole album however, is a must have. He keeps the Country in Country Music. Craig is an excellent songwriter and it shows through in the album. The opening track is his latest single. But there are songs for every type of person. SOme of the best are:

Lotta Man- this is a great song. Very powerful.

If you like that- a very good love ballad.

Rain For The Roses-all about rekindling what you have at home.

Blame Me-a great song about Country ft.Brad Paisley.

Cowboy and Clown- probably my favorite song on the album. A ballad of a cowboy and a clown and the friendship they have.

There are however some great up beat songs too.

I'm Country- song title says it all.

Redneck Yacht Club_what all us good ol' boys are out doing when we go to the lake for a weekend in the summer.

In My Neighborhood-just a swinging song about the great life of living like a redneck.

Ain't the way i want to go Out-rocking song

This is a great album, every song is worth giving a listen to. I think it is a must have to add to your collection.

- Listening to country!

This is a great country CD. You hear alot of the banjo being played which you don't hear too much these days with alot of country music. This is a great CD! About life and living!

- Thanks Blake Shelton! Love This CD!

Love this CD. If it weren't for Blake Shelton, whom I love, I might not have ever discovered Craig Morgan. What a great voice and great music. I love his songs. I love that he's a family man and even more, a man of God. God has obviously blessed him with great talent to sing and write music.

September 27th Update.

The more I listen to this CD, the more I like it. I'd list all the songs I love, but then I'd be listing the whole CD!
