- Coe';s The Man

I own probably 10 of his albums (all greatest hits collections, except his 1999 "Recommended For Airplay"), and this is a pretty good cross section of his hits (of which he had few). His considerable output of erratic material made for some lousy songs, although he did have some that were quite entertaining and well-written, most of which aren't included here. But for folks who want to get the bare bones best, here it is.

- Nice collection

I really cannot tolerate country music. I love David Allan Coe. This is a good collection of his best songs. Great sampler for someone getting in to it.

- Excellent Sound but Content Editing

Aside from the fact that a whole lot more than sixteen great David Allan Coe songs could fit on this disc, potential buyers need to be aware that the version of "The Ride" on this disc lacks the recitation at the end; there is just the quickly faded instrumental outro. The HDCD formatting offers great sound, however, which these songs deserve.

- bare bones but brilliant

Die hard fans will have all these songs, but that doesn't mean this isn't an incredible collection of Coe. A+
