- DAC Is Running Right Over The Generation Gap

This album is a tribute to a man who has fought his whole life to be recognized as an individual. By recording all his own music, in his own way, David Allan Coe is continuing to break generational barriers and present his perspecitive and unique music to a whole new and younger audience as well as satisfying the appetites of all us older, diehard Coe fans. Thank you David Allan Coe from the rebel in all of us! Now, Let's Go "Drink Canada Dry"!

- Classic Coe

Recommended for airplay is Clean, Clear, Classic David Alan Coe. Crisp lyrics, well mixed without any of the volume fluctuation of some past albums. As the name states, I also recommend it for airplay...excellent CD!

- Country at it's best

Basically, there's really no other way to say this: If you like David's earlier stuff, or are a fan of real country music, you MUST buy this album. "She's Already Gone" is probably the best sad country ballad I've ever heard and "Drink My Wife Away" and "Drink Canada Dry" are what country music are supposed to be. Not to mention "Harley Someday", which is too funny for words. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this one.

- David's still got it and showin' his blues side!

Saw DAC at the Executive Surf Club in Corpus Christi tonight and then bought the CD. The performance was vintage, but "Song for the Year 2000" got rid of the "workin' like a nword" stigma that I know David was in his own way apologizing for. His C/W songs are fabulous---really enjoyed "Drink My Wife Away." But I most enjoyed his blues tunes, "Let Me Be the One You Turn To, "In My Life," and "We Can Talk". Definitely new to me as regards DAC, and I am now a major fan (again).

- Right on the mark once again !

Arguably one of the most prolific songwriters in the history of music, DAC once again bears it all on this record. From the first song to the last he spells out "real" life and allows the listener to crawl inside the album. Often forgotten when popular awards shows rule the airways, this album should raise peoples eyebrows to his talents once again.
