Disco de Diamond Rio: “One More Day”
Descripción (en inglés) :
This is an Enhanced audio CD which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
Diamond Rio: Marty Roe (vocals); Jimmy Olander (acoustic & electric guitar); Gene Johnson (mandolin, background vocals); Dan Truman (keyboards); Dana Williams (bass, background vocals); Brian Prout (drums).
Recorded at The Sound Kitchen, Franklin, Tennessee and Starstruck Studios, Nashville, Tennessee.
ONE MORE DAY was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Country Album. "One More Day" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Awards for Best Country Performance by A Duo Or Group With Vocal and for Best Country Song.
Diamond Rio's seventh album was delayed for months due to record company politics, and underwent a name change in the process--from STUFF to ONE MORE DAY. The new title's a better fit, since this fine collection is much more than a bunch of "stuff." Once again, the six-man band shows its prodigious talent, tackling an impressive range of musical styles with an unmatched level of musicianship. With neck-snapping versatility, the band moves from bluegrass ("Hearts Against the Wind") to a Mavericks-style surf groove ("I Think I Love You"); from humor ("Stuff") to heartbreak ("'Til the Heartaches Gone.").
The title track is a gem of a tearjerker that recalls the group's 1998 smash "You're Gone," while on "Here I Go Falling," vocalist Marty Roe manages to make that corniest of country conventions--a recitation--sound completely natural. But the true standout is a duet with Chely Wright, "I'm Trying," which paints a vivid portrait of a couple torn apart by alcoholism. Give Diamond Rio credit for tackling a once-standard country topic that practically became taboo in the late '90s, and extra credit for adding Wright to the mix. Whatever you call it, ONE MORE DAY is good stuff.

- Brings in the best of the old and new!!

On One More Day, Diamond Rio does a perfect job of creating new tunes in their trademark style millions have come to love over the last 10 years. But rather than being content where they are, the guys really stretch out over several sub-genres of country, from the fast paced "Thats Just That", to the touching "One More Day" (already a big hit) and "Til the Heartache's Gone", to a great duet with Chely Wright, "I'm Trying". They sound great on every track. Their trademark harmonies and great instromental precision all packed into a high-energy package is utilized more than ever on these 13 songs. If you like country music, or just plain good music, this album is highly recommended. My personal favorites are "Heart's Against the Wind", "I think I Love You", "I'm Already Gone", "I Could do it with my eyes closed", and "Here I go Fallin'", but they are all awesome. This is one of those rare cd's you can just pop in your player and listen the whole way through. No skipping songs on this one. Now what are you waiting for? Get a copy. You won't regret it!

- I'm not a huge country fan,but I love,"OneMoreDay."

I'm going to have to buy this CD.I can't get "One More Day," out of my head.It has new meaning after 9-11,and losing the love of my life a few years ago.I would love to have "One More Day," with that person.

- Great!

The new Diamond Rio albumis just great. There is one song I just keep going back to. I'm trying the amazing duet with one of country music's best and most under reated vocalist Chely Wright.

Marty & Chely tellt he most haunting tale of a husband and wife and confronting his drinking problem. This should be a single-sounds like Song of the Year stuff to me.

- A must have for any Diamond Rio fan!

I just finished listening to the album for the first time, and still have a smile on my face. The album is a wonderful example of the groups moving, heart-tugging ballads. Marty's voice was designed to sing of love thwarted and fulfilled. I own all of their cd's, and am just as happy with this one as with the others. Diamond Rio has yet to disapoint me. The only thing keeping this album from being a five-star item is that there are only a couple of their fast-paced, quirky songs here. I would of appreciated a couple more of these light-hearted pieces. But I would also like to say that the duet with Chely Wright is absolutley breath-taking. A definate must have!

- One More Day and One More Great Album for Diamond Rio

One more Day is by far one of Diamond Rios best albums, the first time I heard the album title song it opened a slew of emotions for its how I feel exactly when my Life Partner or I leave for business alone, Truly an emotionally charged album with lots of feeling. One More Day would be a great valentines gift for your loved one.
