Beyond the big hair and the out-sized public image, {$Dolly Parton} has had a solid strength throughout her long career. She is a world-class songwriter, and this wide ranging collection has several examples of that, including the haunting and edgy {&"Jolene,"} the autobiographical {&"Coat of Many Colors,"} the sincere {&"It's All Wrong, But It's All Right"} and the timeless classic ballad {&"I Will Always Love You."} The presence of these four tracks alone makes this a decent budget purchase and makes clear that underneath all the {\country} banter and bluster, {$Parton} is a careful and deliberate artist. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
