- Great relaxing collection
Don has one of the most consistently good voices I have heard and he uses it to great effect in this collection. This is the perfect CD to be listening to when you're on a trip driving into the sunset and feeling nice and relaxed. Beautiful job Don!

- Excellent Early Songs not on Other Collections
Don Williams is a great artist and his full body of work brings pleasure whenever played. Unfortunately, many of his best -- his early pieces -- are not played often enough...even here at home. I have several Don Williams collections, but the other day I was watching a Porter Wagoner show off my satellite DVR with Don's first appearance on the show in 1974. When he started singing "Atta Way to Go", I just nearly fell over, recalling my time as a teen when I became a Don Williams fan. Then I wondered why I hadn't heard it for so long, and looked on my CDs -- it wasn't there. So I pulled out the vinyl LP I bought when I was 16 and played both sides again. Wow, I was floored. "Don't You Believe" and "Down the Road I Go" are exceptional songs that are not included on most collections. His "Gold" collection appears to be the most comprehensive collection, but misses several jewels that are on this one. So, after listening to the vinyl LP again, and again the other day, and realizing I must have worn it out 30 years ago on my cheap stuff then (pops, cracks, hisses), I just had to buy this on CD/.mp3. I highly recommend you get this one, too. And I guess I'll go ahead and buy "Gold", as well.
- The grandmaster of country
After thirty years of loving country music, Don Willams is still one of my favourite musicians.
His easy style of singing and the balance of the recordings give me still shivers.
