Review - :
{&"There You'll Be,"} from the {#Pearl Harbor} soundtrack, was supposed to be to {$Faith Hill} what {&"My Heart Will Go On,"} from {#Titanic}, was to {$Celine Dion}: a sweeping and dramatic song from a blockbuster film, catapulting the popular star to an even higher stratosphere. Unfortunately for {$Hill}, that did not occur. The song was formulaic, ("nice" could be used to describe it at best), and it certainly didn't shatter any records, quickly peaking on the U.S. {\pop} charts and then disappearing from sight. The song resembles any number of big-budgeted, mass-produced Hollywood movie {\ballads}, although {$Hill}'s voice does sound quite pretty and the song isn't bad by any means, it just isn't anything new. And coming from a critically-slammed, notoriously over-budgeted film certainly didn't help. Finally, and stupidly, the fact that no U.S. single was issued for the song was the ultimate kiss of death. Instead, we are left with this import single, which tacks on two songs from {^Breathe} ({&"There Will Come a Day"} and {&"If I Should Fall Behind"}) as its B-sides, recycles an old photograph of {$Hill}, and slaps the {$Pearl Harbor} promo artwork onto the cover. This is a glaring example of bad, lazy marketing. ~ Jose F. Promis, All Music Guide
