- Gary Allan's first is awesome
This cd was Gary's first that I heard for the first time as a freshman in college, so maybe that is why I am partial to it, but I love all of his cds. I have been a fan since 1996, and he has been my favorite artist since. He is wonderful in concert also. I recommend any of his three releases. They are all excellent. His vocal style is unlike any other, which makes him a rare find in the music business. I highly recommend this cd. - From Where I am Sitting
This album would be worth the price if all you got was "From where i am sitting,I can see where I stand" it is a beautiful song.. sung as only Gary Allan could sing it..and "All I had going is gone"is a heart breaker delivered in true Gary style with the ever present ache..then "Her Man"finds him cleaning up his act.all the songs are just great,but that is no surprise coming from Gary Allan.he has a way of letting you hear the pain and misery of love gone wrong with that aching voice..you just know he has first hand knowledge of what he sings about. he has that kind of voice,he is the best vocalist to come out in many years.this was his first album and it is excellent.and the others only get better and better.dont miss this one. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful:
- Great songs
I like every song on this cd. It's true country music. My favorite on this cd is 'Her Man' and 'from where i'm sitting'. I have all of his cd's and they are all great. Customer review - October 21, 1998

- Gary Allan has his work cut out for only him.
This is my favorite CD (Besides the other Gary CD). Gary Allan has his work cut out for him. He is the greatest. He just has this unbelievable voice, that would sound great singing anything!!! - Used Heart for Sale
