- If I Could Only Give It 10 Stars

I absolutely LOVE Nancy Wilson's Capitol jazz songs from the 60's - and that being said - this cd has gone beyond her Capitol days. It has the most inventive vocal arrangements and instrumental arrangements of her career. She is slinky on some, funky on others, and sexy on the rest. But there is not one song that I can say that I would exclude from enjoying. Some songs are jazzy, some are R&B, some are magical, but basically they are all special. Her vocals are strong and her vocals are inspired. The musicians give 105% compared to cds of the past. Truly one of her best - so if you love Nancy Wilson's vocal phrasing, this one is for you.

- Forbidden Lover...Nancy Wilson

This is Nancy at her very best. There are songs on this cd that are not included on any of her greatest hits cds. This is a must have for Nancy fans. She is accompanied by Carl Anderson, a great in his own right. You must hear I Was Telling Him About You, the lyrics are the bomb. Nancy with Carl is a dynamic duo. This cd is out of print. So sensous, so Nancy. I was elated to find it on eBay.

- NANCY 'DELIVERS' ON HER 50th ALBUM A DIVERSED MIXTURE OF CONTEMPORARY SOUL-R&B, POP & CONTEMPORARY JAZZ!!!

With over 27 (Twenty-Seven) years of recordings under her belt Nancy Wilson is truly a Legend! If you're looking for the Back-In-The-Day Nancy Wilson album...This is NOT for you! Here's a quick rundown on the Key Cuts: Quite naturally the 2 (Two) Duets with Carl Anderson "Forbidden Lover" and "Too Good To Be True". These R&B Ballads are real nice. the pairing of both of these vocalist work very well together. The Single-Worthy R&B-Contemporary Jazz Ballad "Deeper" is one of those 'Just Feels Good' type of songs. The steller performance of "A Song For You" that is worth the price of the entire Compact Disc! Nancy or the Musicians aren't trying to out do each other on this track it's just plain PURE & BEAUTIFUL! Those who are familiar with Jerry Hey's horn arrangements will know what to expect Horn-wise. Nancy is backed by some of the biggest names in the business like: Paul Jackson Jr., Jimmy Johnson, Branford Marsalis and others!, But because of the Mini Moog, Rhodes Piano, DX-7 (And what have you)...The above mentioned musicians are hardly heard, and don't have ANY room to shine :(

Since this release Nancy Wilson has been put in SEVERAL different Music Settings and Styles, so it would be wise to LISTEN FIRST, BEFORE YOU BUY BLINDLY!!! Some of her projects worked...Some did not!
