- GREAT LISTENING EXPERIENCE!!
Tammy's new album has 8 songs appearing for the first time on CD as part of a U.S. release as well as many of her standards, such as STAND BY YOUR MAN.
Each cut showcases Tammy's voice in fantastic form, full-range vocals, and tear-in-the-voice treatment for which she is famous. Just give a listen to HELP ME MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT and THE TWELFTH OF NEVER. Her interpretations are top notch!
Her 1979 single, NO ONE ELSE IN THE WORLD (a top-10 record)is the true gem of this set. It features a recitation as well as Tammy singing softly and then soaring. The overall production is lush and the piano intro is priceless.
Many of the songs remind the listener of the time period when Tammy was married to George Jones. However, one in particular reminds us of Tammy's 20-year marriage to George Richey when listening to the lyrics of THE HAWAIIAN WEDDING SONG, especially the last line when Tammy sings, "I do love you with all my heart." She said many times Richey was the love of her life and made her happy! THE HAWAIIAN WEDDING SONG truly reflects that he met all Tammy's expectations about life-long love and devotion to each other.
As Bob Kingsley, of American Country Countdown, once said about Tammy, "Perhaps the reason Tammy's music has enjoyed such great success is that Tammy is, in real life, the lady she sings about in her songs." This LOVE SONGS collection by Tammy truly reflects Kingley's statement.
ATTENTION ALL COUNTRY MUSIC FANS: THIS ALBUM CONTAINS AN IMPORTANT PIECE OF COUNTRY MUSIC HISTORY AND IS A MUST BUY!

- love ballads
out of all the 15 tracks on this CD, i love all of them but i love tracks #2, #5, #6, #11, #12, #13, and #14 the most. "You've Still Got a Place in My Heart", the #3 hit title track of his 1984 album on Epic, is a bluesy song with the harmonica the prominent instrument. another track from that 1984 album is also on here, "The Second Time Around", which at the time was his wife Nancy's favorite song. from 1983 we have the #1 "I Always Get Lucky With You" and the album track "She Hung the Moon", both of these are available on his 1983 album, "Shine On"."She Hung the Moon" is actually a deceptive title. it's actually about a bad relationship. "...and if your heart it needs breaking she's the best i ever found. She Hung the Moon...but she hung it upside down" goes some of the chorus. "You Oughta Be Here With Me" is the title track of his 1990 Epic album. on this CD it's track #13 and as far as i know this is the only commercially available CD to include the song since it's 1990 debut. the same holds true for 1984's "Second Time Around", "You've Still Got a Place in My Heart", and 1983's "She Hung the Moon" as well as track #14 "Hopelessy Yours" which made it's debut in 1986 on the 'Wine Colored Roses' album. the rest of the tracks are readily available on other CDs.
- Tammy at her very best!
Only in the years since her death have I come to fully appreciate the
artistry of Tammy Wynette. She puts her heart and soul in every song and makes it sound like she is singing to you and only you. After each covered song, I said to myself, "This is the way this song should have been sung when originally released!" Her own songs, including "Stand by your man," considered by many to be the best country song of all time, speak for themselves. Every song on this album is a winner. You will play this CD over and over. I have. And, every time I fall in love with Tammy's memory all over again.

- Hits and album cuts
This is a collection of hits and album cuts that have been released on various Epic records and CD's over the years. The rolls royce of country singers is well represented on this set. Fans of the possum need to add this one to their collection.
