- one of his best

This is a favorite of mine. My daughter had an outdoor wedding two years ago and George Strait music was played for all the dance music. This album was a particular favorite with "I'm Never Gonna Let You Go" being played for the bride and groom's first dance. Thus the album will always hold a special place in my heart.

- 7th Heaven!

Critics might say that too many albums means ordinary music. With George Strait the opposite is true. 7 is a terrific portfolio of Strait greats! Give it a shot, especially if you've just discovered George through some of his more recent releases.

- it's in the album cuts

The difference between a good album and a great album is the cuts you don't hear on the radio. The truely great artists are the ones that make people fall in love with a song that you aren't forced into because of radio play. People like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Clint Black (his early work at least) and most notably George Strait are ones that do it. #7 is a shining example of this. It's not a great album because of marketing or hype, but because it's just a fine example of the things we hear so often are lacking in much of modern country music (but's thats an unfair comparison to be taken on another day). The point is that when you hear "never gonna let you go" you're going to get lost in the richness of the album and realize that there's more to music than what you hear on the airwaves. It's an amazing artist at the peak of his game doing what he does best. How could it not be worth the money?

- #7 is #1 in my book!

If you have to own one George Strait CD, this is the one. From the opening of "Deep Water" to the beautifully melancholic "Nobody In His Right Mind" to "Never gonna Let You go" (the best slow-dancin' song ever!) to the closing notes of "Cowtown", there's not a bad song on the disk. A few years after this CD came I out, I stumbled upon a cassette by Clay Blaker and the Texas Honky Tonk Band - it was awesome! I called the number for the record company on the cassette label, and I actually talked to Clay Blaker himself! It turns out he wrote the song "Never Gonna Let You go". It blew my mind that I was talking to the composer of one of my favorite George Strait songs. Just a shout out to Clay! While his early albums were quite good, George started his meteoric rise to country music stardom with the album "Something Special", one-upped himself with "Ocean Front Property" and proved he was the king of country to stay with "#7". I still pull this CD out to listen to now and again to remind myself of when country music was good. Yeah, I meant that to imply that the stuff out there today on so-called country radio is crap :-)

- George Strait Number 7

I am a huge fan of George Strait. My goal is to have every one of his releases , and I am probably four away. I dont just buy the and put them away, as I do love his voice. When I get a new cd, I play it over and over again, as it never fails that I find new favorites on each and every cd.

This purchase has been no exception, and I have to say that I go with my gut on the seller, and their descriptions of the product. This particular one was absolutely wonderful. All that I was told was very true, all the detailed information is so appreciated, seller was great to work with, product arrived early, and was so much more than I expected. the first week, probably listened to this fifty times, and have truly enjoyed it.

I can honestly say it is a wonderful product, and to deal with the seller was a great experience. I hope that everyone has the opportunity to experience the truly great transactions like I have had here, and in the end, own a great product! Thanks...Debbie
