- At Last! Praise Be!
Why, why, why did it take so long to offer
the RHINESTONE COWBOY album on CD? Why? Why? Why?
One of the best albums of the era, with Campbell in top form--
We've been playing this over and over since it arrived from
Amazon. Many of the cuts are available on other
disks, but this album, with these songs in exactly the right order, is a classic. I love it. My husband loves it. I almost wept with happiness the first time I heard it again after all these years. And BLOODLINE is a great runner up.
- A Must Have Original 1975-76 Rhinestone Cowboy- Bloodline albums!
As far as I know this is the only CD of the original Capital recordings. If you are any kind of a Glen Campbell fan you MUST have this 2 album collection, and if were not a fan you may be one once you discover this collection. The 1975 Rhinestone Cowboy and 1976 Bloodline albums were a masterpiece of recording art with Campbell at his vocal finest.
- two great country/pop
GLEN CAMPBELL for the most part is suppose to be classified as country artist but these songs are more pop than anything else.rhinestone cowboy was a hit on both charts(when this really meant anything)these are both really well rounded albums with a good mix of hits ballads any upbeat songs.the tracks are a little dated( you can tell they are from the mid seventies)but its a fresh change from some of the mondern country music thats around to day.though never regarded classic as some of his earlier
work RHINESTONE COWBOY/BLOODLINE are worth revisiting.
- Where's The Original Recordings, Susie?
There are a lot of compilations of Glen Campbell songs, originals with lots of hits in the package(s) on which I assume EVERYBODY gets royalties. So WHY re-record a different package without the original orchestration, etc. for MORE profit? How great would a CD, or even audio cassette, be with all certified hits, the ORIGINALS you remember? I'm being generous with 3 stars (I got to listen to an acquaintance's copy and saved my own money). You save YOURS.
