- International collection

Originally titled "20 Golden Greats" this revised EMI collection came out in 2003 with a brand new cover. Unfortunately the revision didn't include digital remastering of the songs, which some might argue is a good thing. You get the songs the way they were originally intended .. no altering by computers. Overall, this is a pleasing collection of songs covering nearly all of Glen's international hits such as Rhinestone Cowboy, By the time I get to Phoenix, Country Boy, All I Have to do is dream, and a nice covder of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now". Also included is my all time fav Campbell song "Witchita Linesman". I do not normally like country music, but there is something appealing about Glen CAmpbell. His exquisite guitar playing and voice just make it wonderful. This collection is ideal for anybody wanting a snapshot of the man's great work. It's not definitive though, as it does not include anything from 1977 onwards. For example, the great song "Southern Nights" is missing. Despite that minor omission and the lack of digital remastering, I consider this a nice place to start if you want to add Glen to your collection.
