Review - :
This odd little compilation doesn't work very well as an introduction to {$Hank Williams}, since it lacks his biggest hits, but in a way that's exactly why it might make a good second purchase, since it collects some of his more obscure songs, including the eerie and prescient {&"Six More Miles (To the Graveyard)."} Drawn from late-'40s {@MGM} recording sessions, it also features four duets with {$Audrey Williams}, {$Williams}' wife and manager at the time, including the spooky husband-and-wife {\Appalachian} harmonies on {&"The Pale Horse and His Rider."} If all you've heard are {$Williams}' most popular songs, then you're in for a treat, because his darkest, scariest, and most religious material -- some of which is contained here -- gives his canon the kind of depth no other {\country} star of the day could equal. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
