- A great intro to a legendary singer beyond category

Hank Williams especially in his earliest years as a recordign artist, was a swingin' cowboy singer, and this music essentially is western swing, complete with pedal steel guitar, and pleasant slighly twangy vocals. This music can fall inbetween the categories of western swing, and early rockabilly, with touches of jazz in teh solid rhythm sections. No matter what kind of music you love be it Hillbillie Boogie, Jazz, Swing, Western swing, Honky Tonk or whatever, this is a great intro to a great singer who is timeless and liek Billie Holiday is beyond category. Essential for fans of rockabilly, western swing, and Country music(particularly Patsy Cline). Another thing worth mentioning is Williams occasional yodels, when many think he was influenced by Jimmi Rogers(the one from the 30's), in truth he was VERY influenced by an even lesser known Ememtt Miller, who originall yrecorded Lovesick Blues and threw in yodels all over the place, you shoudl also pick up a Emmett Miller cd, but buy this one NOW!!!
