- Left Wanting

The transition from original recordings to digital is crisp and clear, if a little sibilant, and really dramatizes Jim's wondeful balladeering. The Blizzard remains endearingly haunting in it's simple, but powerful story telling, and no collection would be complete without "He'll have to Go". Unfortunately though, however good this album is, it is annoyingly short, how an album can be packaged as "best of" with only 8 tracks! and a total playing time of under 30 minutes tends to leave you feeling sold short and wanting more. The truth is that there are equally good albums available with many more of Jims multitude of hits and great ballads, and though they may lack a little in sound quality, they are much better value for money.

- A waste of money

This album is only 20+ minutes long and doesn't start to cover the career of a truly great singer. Was he country or pop? Does it matter? The quality on this album is not great. Go for one of the longer and remastered releases.

- Past Situation

Back in the LATE 60'S - early 70's my Father wrote a letter to RCA telling them that the the song "Am I Losing You" should be taken off the album, an orchastra added, and made into a 45 rpm. They did just that. Sold many millions of copys, and rewarded my Father with a letter of thanks, and a free record. Was that not just overwhelming of RCA. Its a good thing they did not go broke sending him that FREE RECORD!
