Practically every song written and performed by Jimmy Rodgers in one collection. The audio quality varies between tracks and there doesn't seem to be any great effort put into cleaning them up but, to me, that's great. These songs were all performed in the late '20's and early '30's and as such I think they sound great without any of that mechanical sound that often stands out in "enhanced" versions of old songs. For cleaner versions of these songs, I love to listen to Gillian Welch and Iris DeMint sing them. I debated between giving this review 4 or 5 stars and decided to go with 5 because this is a new release and I love that there are still labels working to keep Rodgers' legacy alive.
This CD must include every song Jimmie Rogers ever recorded and it's been remastered to sound as good as possible.
