Organizers of the 2012 Jimmie Rodgers Festival say it was a success.

MERIDIAN — GILBERTOWN, Ala. — As the 79th anniversary of his death approaches on May 26, SunLite Online Radio will be saluting the Father of Country Music, America's Singing Brakeman, Jimmie Rodgers, with two full weeks of "classic country" music.
