No new songs -- these are all oldies and classics like "Let It Snow," "Silent Night" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas" -- but it's a darn fine performance. Nichols is at his Merle Haggard-y best, and the arrangements are pretty down to earth. If you want a country Christmas record that actually sounds country, give this one a spin. It's pretty good.
This is my favorite Christmas CD ever. It is very traditional and the best!
I like Country music, but I guess I don't really care for Christmas country-style. This album just seemed a little bland, and too twangy, to me. I kept waiting for a song to redeem the album for me, but I just didn't fall in love with Joe Nichols' versions of any of the songs. It's a good album, but not one of my favorites. If you really like old-style country music, with a twang, you'll probably like it better than me.
