Dan Kane's entertainment spotlight: Hey Monea
Canton’s own Hey Monea, who just won the Hard Rock Cafe’s international battle of the bands titled Hard Rock Rising, will play a free hometown show at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Panini’s, 5260 Dressler Road NW. Ages 21 and older are welcome. In July, the band will perform at a massive outdoor rock festival in London’s Hyde Park, as the opening act for Lady Antebellum, John Fogerty and Bruce Springsteen.

Canton's Hey Monea gets primo gig at London festival
On July 14, local boys Dan Monea, Nate Monea and Adam Orin are scheduled to perform on the main stage at a massive outdoor rock festival in London’s Hyde Park called Hard Rock Calling. Hey Monea will be the opening band for a concert lineup of Lady Antebellum, John Fogerty and Bruce Springsteen.
