I love this music! While I don't listen to this kind of thing this often I grew up with it and it is everything I remember. I Walk The Line is one of the best of Cash's songs and Cry, Cry, Cry and Ballad of a Teenage Queen are classics in their own right. The only disappointment I had was that Ghost Riders in the Sky was not included in this collection.
The recordings are of excellent quality and if you want a little bit of background on the artist the set includes a booklet which has a short bio of Johnny Cash.
As a collection of Johnny Cash's music;this is as good as it gets.What a package!It consists of 3 CD's,a total of 50 complete songs,a 24-page booklet covering his life and career,including 13 photographs(all in B&W and why not ,he was "The Man In Black").
This collection has a bit of everything .Some of the songs were written by ash,while others were written by such greats as Don Gibson,Johnny Marvin/Gene Autry,Charlie Rich,Frankie Brown,Hank Williams,Sam Phillips,and others.
This is a great collection to have ,even for those who have already acquired a large collection of albums.It would be a wonderful surprise gift for any Country Music fan,but a fan of Johnny Cash in particular.To top it all off,the price is very reasonable,;and it comes in a metal box with a super photograph of Cash on the cover and a list of all the songs on the back.And naturally it's black too!
