- a quick slapped together greatest hits from Mercury years

This album shouda been longer and better, he only made 5 albums for Mercury and this is really just a sampler, but they left off so many of the better songs, all and all, not bad, if you like this, buy the rest of the Mercury albums, you'll love them.

- Cash - The Mercury Sides

This is the Johnny Cash post Columbia recordings on the Mercury label,-how could Columbia release Johnny Cash, they oughta be shot. Dwight Yoakam actually did walk into Columbia Records one afternoon, picking on an unexpecting executive, shouting you released Johnny Cash from Columbia!,- that desk and chair your sitting in,Johnny Cash paid for that, how dare you ! - that's it,givem hell Dwight.. Wanted Man,1994, a good compilation for the man in black,"Wanted Man" is the best song on here, Hank Williams Jr. joins in on,"That Old Wheel", the remake of,"Ballad Of The Teenage Queen", with daughter Rosanne, The Everly Brothers sing their tight harmonies. The laid back,"I'll Go Somewhere And Sing My Songs Again",Johnny sings with the great songwriter,Tom T. Hall. "Beans For Breakfast",sounds like an old Cash song. A different sound from the Sun/Columbia days, the music arrangements, production - good enough to add to any Johnny Cash collection,Mercury records,3 1/2 stars.
