- Totally worth every penny!
This CD is excellent for the 'new' Cash fan, or any fan who just wants to have all of the Man in Black best songs without spending an arm and a leg. My personal favorites are "Big River" and "Ring of Fire", but the good old-fashioned story songs like "A Boy Named Sue" (written by Shel Silverstein) and "One Piece at a Time" are truly Johnny Cash at his best! You cannot go wrong with this CD!

- Johnny Cash Super Hits
What a great cd! A lot of Johnny's greatest hits on one inexpensive cd! I haven't had a chance to listen to his music for several years--what a joyful reintroduction. His music makes me feel so good!

- My First Johnny Cash Album - A Great Introduction
This album first introduced me to the music of the "Man in Black", the one and only, Johnny Cash. From this album, I was sufficiently overwhelmed by his voice and music that I went on to purchase just about every Cash album recorded - and that is a lot of albums (trust me on that). The music selections comprise many, but not all of Cash's hit singles. These songs were all hits on top-40 radio back in the sixties and seventies. I especially enjoyed the duet chemistry with June Carter in the song, "Jackson", (even though this version is not as good as the live San Quentin performance of the same song), yet, the duet intriged me enough to purchase the wonderful duet album called:
. "A Boy Named Sue" is teh live version from the San Quentin album. "One Piece at a Time" is the same version that was played on the radio in the 1970's. By the way, Johnny Cash wrote five of these ten songs, demonstrating his creative writing talents as well. The songs that most people associate with Cash are on this album. It is a solid introduction to the music that made Johnny Cash famous. (This album does not have any of the latest "American Recordings" produced by Rick Rubin, which made Cash a hit with a whole new generation of young people). Two other albums that exemplify the best of Johnny Cash are the following:
, and
.
This is a nice album for an even nicer price.
