Julianne Hough Album: “Julianne Hough”
 Description :
A two-time champion on the reality series DANCING WITH THE STARS, Julianne Hough makes her debut as a country singer with 2008's self-titled release. A fresh-faced young ing?nue from Utah, Hough has pretty blonde looks and a girl next door persona that are perfectly matched to the sweet-natured country pop of songs such as her first single, "That Song In My Head," and the wistful "Dreaming Under the Same Moon."

- Julianne Hough
This is a very enjoyable collection by a fresh voice and a remarkable clairity. I was surpirised by the tonal changes and the vocal control Julianne displayed. It doesn't sound like a first CD at all. It also doesn't sound like it will be her last.
There is also a variety to the type and style of songs contained and each is delivered with a precise crispness and an entertaining flair. The production and finish are all first rate and the whole CD is completely enjoyable.
If you like country music, I don't see how you can pass this up. I think it portends a great many good things to come from Julianne. The duet with her brother shows that talent is a family trait as well.

- Love the album!!!
I'm quite surprised that this two time winning DWTS champion can pull off another talent. Julianne Hough is quite the double threat. I enjoy listening to all the songs, especially "Dreaming Under the Same Moon" where she sings with her brother, Derek. She is going to have a successful career in music, and I can't wait to hear more music from her in the future.

- Great CD
This is a very nice CD from a new star. I watched her dance, and now she can sing too. That Song In My Head is a fun song to listen to, it brings out her bubbly personality. I also loved the song Julianne sings with her brother. They should sing more songs together .... they could be as hot as The Judds. I'm glad I bought this CD, and wish Julianne all the best of success.

- A disappointment
Fairly routine country music fare, and quite disappointing. Julianne adopts a highly affected southern accent on most songs - it sounds forced and artificial (That Song In My Head, About Life, Hello). It's like you're not hearing Julianne, you're hearing her impression of how a country singer should sound. She would have been better advised to sing using her natural voice. Often the lyrics that emanate from her mouth are not at all believable (Jimmy Ray McGee, About Life). That might be okay if she was recording an album of cover songs, but these are new compositions. To sum things up, Julianne Hough - although a decent singer - is a country music poser.
Best song: Help Me, Help You.
Worst Songs: You, You, You; Hide Your Matches; My Hallelujah Song.

- Should keep her day job
I really wanted to love this CD, but after a couple of songs I grew tired of her voice. I just knew it would be great because this gal can dance like no other! I do love the duet with her brother though, they sound so good together and Derek has a wonderful voice. He should record a CD himself! Maybe she will get better material and her voice will mature a bit later on.
