He began to stand out in 1997, with his hit singles "When I Close My Eyes" and "Me and You," but his 1998 hit "That's Why I'm Here" truly hinted at what he could do with the right material. On Chesney's fifth release, EVERYWHERE WE GO, that early promise pays off in spades. <p>Chesney's chosen a collection of excellent songs (from top writers like Paul Overstreet, Skip Ewing, and Kent Blazy), and has co-written a few more. His voice shows new depth and range, from the jaunty, uptempo "How Forever Feels" and "Life Is Good" to the tender "What I Need to Do" and the "Jerry Maguire"-inspired ballad "You Had Me From Hello." Another standout is "California," a song that gets its subject--sexual abuse--across without being heavy-handed. And you've got to give Chesney credit for having the guts to duet with Randy Travis, one of the finest vocalists in any genre. On "Baptism," the two singers spin a Gospel-flavored tale of redemption that's truly unique.

- New to country music...and this is what I like!

I've been listening to country music for less than a year, but I'll never forget the first time I heard How Forever Feels on the radio as I was driving to the casino. It's one of those songs you have to roll down your windows for! My new favorite at this point is She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy. It's a fun, upbeat song that just makes you feel good. I read someone else's review who said the song is a little redundant. I see how one might say that but it's still a great tune. I'm buying the CD right now so I can't comment on every single song yet but I've heard enough to know what a great CD this is. I think Kenny Chesney is an excellent singer because he has a smooth voice, and his music is definitely country, but not with that backwoods twang. On the other hand it's not as pop-y as say the Dixie Chicks. None of my friends or co-workers listen to country music but when I play Kenny Chesney over the internet at work or subject my friends to his songs in the car, I never get any complaints. I will be buying more of his CDs.

- His best album to date

I didn't think he could top his last album, "I Will Stand", but he did with this gem. Every song could be a single-they are really that good. His number one hit, "How Forever Feels" was on top for a month making it one of the best hits of the year. "California", another great tune, is my personal favorite on the album. He only gets better.

- This CD is awesome!

First of all I don't know where this Michael Ross guy gets off putting down the CD. This CD shows the talent that Kenny C. has and how he has grown as an artist during his musical career. Every CD that he has put out has been better than the one before and this one is no exception. I love every song on the CD and not one lets me down. I especially like I Might Get Over You and Life Is Good. This is a very uplifting CD and it just makes you "feel good!"
