- Best song of the century! Congratulations, LeAnn!

LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live" was a record breaker on the Billboard charts for 69 weeks, the only single to sell 3 million copies, won LeAnn a special Billboard award, won her other Billboard awards, and became a huge success into pop and country, I think this is the best song/single you can get! Yea LeAnn!

- SIMPLY THE BEST

This is the best song for many reasons! LeAnn's voice is so powerful it adds more meaning to an already powerfully written song (thanks to Dianne Warren). If this song was any better, it would be perfect! She deserves all the credit she has received for this perfrmance!

- the best version

i don't know why there are so many complaints about the two versions of this song. obviously both singers came out winners: Yearwood had the biggest hit of her career with it and won a Grammy while Rimes sold 3,000,000 copies of it and it held the #1 spot on AC chart for 12 weeks and the #1 spot on the Country Single Sales chart for half a year...and not only that, Rimes version was on the Hot 100 Pop chart 69 weeks, making it one of the longest charting singles in music history...so tell me why there is so much complaining? Rimes should be the one who should get our sympathy because she was told by the Con-Air people that they wanted her to sing this song...but someone else learned that Yearwood had also recorded the song so they listened to both. the producers of the movie picked Yearwood's version...NOT because it was better...but because Yearwood had more of a name than Rimes did at the time and the producers felt Yearwood could help sell the movie. remember, this was mid 1997, barely a year after Rimes made her debut and so the producers under-estimated what Rimes COULD HAVE done for the film had they gone with her version all along. This single was also re-mixed into a dance version and yes, THAT version also hit #1...on the Dance Singles chart, that is!

- EXCELLENT MASTERPIECE!

I have always had a deep respect for Leann because of her amazing voice at such a young age.

She has recorded 5 major albums, "Leann"-1999; "Blue"-1996; "Unchained Melody"-1997; "You Light Up My Life"-1997; "Sittin' On Top Of The World"-1998.

Leann was born August 28, 1982; which makes her 17 years old.

This single "How Do I Live" truly propelled Leann to her career's peak.

Even though Leann is only 17, she has sold an amazing amount of records:

Her "Blue" album has sold over 6 million copies; The "How Do I Live" single has sold more more than 3 million copies, amazing for a single. Her latest 1999 effort, "Leann," which features 12 of the Leann's versions of some of the most famous country songs, has sold more than 1 million copies to date; "Sittin' on top of the World" has sold more than 1 million copies; "The Early Years" has sold more than 2 mil copies; "You Light Up My Life" has sold more than 4 million copies;

Her "How Do I Live" single holds the Billboard chart record for 69 weeks at #1 and she also got several special Billboard Awards;

Leann has won Grammy's; American Music Awards; Academy of Country Music Awards; TNN Music City Award; CMA Horizon Award; Billboard Awards; and the BBC Rising Star award.

All this success and she's not even an adult.

By the way.....all you people who say Trisha Yearwood's version of How Do I Live is better, you are SO mistaken. Trisha has never EVER been able to match the strong voice of Leann.

- The real How Do I Live talent... LeAnn Rimes

The song that showed Rimes true talent just so happens to be the ever so controversal cut of How Do I Live. The release of that song was one of the most prominent points in Rimes career. Still there was an ongoing debate as to whose version was better out of 'fresh talent' that of Rimes or 'known talent' that of

Trisha Yearwood.

Trisha Yearwoods version of the song was a cold emotionless cut - Rimes showed true talent in this very song - with emotions pouring out of the stereo everytime you listen to it...

Although Yearwood's version was given the ever so desired Grammy Award, Rimes' version rode to the top of the charts and ended with an amazing CD sales count.... So how do YOU live without LeAnn??

Always Mirren.
