Loretta Lynn Album: “Legends Of The Grand Ole Opry”
 Description :
LEGENDS OF THE GRAND OLE OPRY is a live album compiling many of Loretta Lynn's previously unreleased recordings at the Mecca of country music, which have not been heard since their initial broadcasts on the Grand Ole Opry's weekly radio broadcast. Recorded between 1963 and 1967, these 14 tracks include some of Lynn's most beloved early hits, such as "Blue Kentucky Girl," "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' (With Lovin' On Your Mind)," and "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)." Other highlights include the largely spoken-word gospel tune "The Third Man," the wistful "We're Not Kids Anymore," and a rollicking "Wine, Women and Song." The vintage photos in the packaging are an additional plus in an important document of country music history.

- The Making Of A Icon
What a wonderful discovery! This CD contains rare live performance material from a very young Loretta Lynn! Folks, this is how it all started for the "national treasure" the world of entertainment has embraced. This recording brings to the listener's ears songs that are rarely heard on the radio or part of Loretta's live stage shows anymore. These hits, such as Success - Loretta's first top ten single from her debut LP in 1963, Wine, Women, & Song, When Lonely Hits Your Heart, & Before I'm Over You. There are also rare duets with Connie Smith and Ernest Tubb included. The CD concludes with Loretta's self penned religious song titled The Third Man, which depicts a dream about Judgment Day. When I first heard that this CD was about to be released, I counted the days, hours and minutes until it would be available for the public to enjoy. They don't make 'em like Loretta Lynn anymore! I highly suggest this CD for anymore who has an appreciation for classical country music that has meaning and substance.
- I got this CD for my brother who loves music
I got this for my brother and he will enjoy it. He enjoys all styles of music. He enjoys Showtunes, Classical, and Pop music.
- I love it
I`m a huge Loretta Lynn Fan from Germany and i have a lot of LP`s and CD`s from her, but the Live CD from Grand Ole Opry is so great. I love it so much because i like the sounds in the background (Applause...).

- Loretta Lynn The Queen of Popular Music
Loretta Lynn's legacy and rich history has surpassed labeled boundaries of reference as the definitive "Queen of Country Music". She has simply rewritten musical history across every genre of popular music. This release is simply a jewel in time showcasing her brilliant talents as a musician (she played guitar for many years in live performances) and a songwriter. The depth of her rich vocal strength of voice on "If You Are Not Gone Too Long" makes this CD a treasure to own.
