Randy Travis Album: “No Holdin' Back”
 Description :
Personnel includes: Randy Travis (vocals, guitar); Larry Byrom, Mark Casstevens (acoustic guitar); Steve Gibson (electric guitar); Dean Parks (guitar); Doyle Grisham (steel guitar); Mark O'Connor (fiddle); Terry McMillan (harmonica); Dennis Burnside (piano); Hargus "Pig" Robbins (Wurlitzer piano); David Hungate (bass); Larrie Londin (drums).
<p>Travis's fourth official album (not counting an early independent label live release) is another winner in the same beautifully produced neo-traditionalist vein as ALWAYS AND FOREVER, and OLD 8X10, with a similar mixture of cry in your beer weepers (the wrenching "He Walked On Water"), I'll-love-you-forever songs ("Mining For Coal") and neo-honkky-tonkers ("Card Carrying Fool"), all sung with Travis's patented George Jones derived clench-jawed soul. Highlights include two excellent oldies, a deeply felt remake of Brooke Benton's 1958 r&b ballad "It's Just a Matter of Time," and a spry runthrough of Marty Robbin's 1956 hit "Singing the Blues,":rendered here by Travis in a more traditional country style than the original.

- Given as a gift, this album got me hooked on Randy Travis.
Lots of great songs, this album has followed me from Guam to San Diego, CA and now to Portugal. Great lyrics, honky tonk beat allows you to enjoy every track whether in your living room or singing along while driving 120 km/hr. Especially good is "card-carrying-fool" which I am sure evry guy in America can relate to in his life at one time or another.
- Great
I Am A Dj and this is the best place to get music and it is always as reported never gotten a bad cd
- When Your World Was Turning For Me
I'm blown away by the feeling Randy Travis puts into his songs. I fail to find the words to describe how a person can get totally into a song he's singing, especially a song like "When Your World Was Turning For Me." The man is FANTASTIC!
