- Question the1 and 2 star reviews this CD received over a short time period

I seriously call into question all the 1 and 2 star ratings that were all listed within days of each other back in 2005. The reviewer (who I truly believe is the same person) simply says the same thing over and over again--just in different words. However, don't let this one naysayer hold you back from getting this album. Of course, everyone knows the big hits--Fancy, Rumor Has It, You Lie, and Fallin' Out of Love. However, there are some other true gems on this album including Climb that Mountain High, which was also used as the theme song to the short-lived Delta Burke show. Waitin' For the Deal to Go Down is about a woman waiting to get that wedding ring. The song was also covered by Dixiana. Also "That Picture" is a fun song in which Reba ultimately has a "bonfire" with her old lover's pictures.

However, the true gems here are Now You Tell Me--along the same line of her prior hit, One Promise Too Late. But the last two tracks are my favorites from the album-- You Remember Me and That's All She Wrote. While the former has a sentimentel side and is probably one of Reba's best vocal performances, the latter is just a fun umtempo song. While this is not "traditional" country, this is nonetheless some of Reba's best music. In fact, Reba indicated that she went through a lot of material while picking songs for this album because she was pregnant during this period.

Unfortunately, this was the last release prior to Reba losing her band in a plane crash. While this album's successor, For My Broken Heart, is considered by many, including me, to be Reba's best album, Rumor Has It also ranks right up there. If you buy this album, you won't be disappointed.

- My First CD

I love this album by Reba. I originally bought in 1990 right after it was released on cassette tape. I wore it out. So I bought another one and wore it out too. So then I broke down and finally bought one of those new CD players and the first CD I ever bought was this one. About a year later my car was broken into and it was one of the items stolen. I couldn't find it anywhere to replace it until now. I'm getting it again. My favorite track on this album is Climb that Mountain High.

- What A Masterpiece

What a masterpiece Reba has done with this album!!! From Climb That Mountain High to That's All She Wrote, all songs are a work of art. She does a very good job on Fancy and a wonderful job on Rumor Has It - The title cut. My favorite song on the CD is Fallin' Out Of Love. It may be sad but it is a very good song. I am glad Reba made it a single. My least favorite song on this CD is You Remember Me. I would have given it a Five Stars except for this song. The first single - You Lie is very different from the other songs on the CD and every other CD that she has had out. The video of You Lie shows Reba as a spitfire of a woman when she gets mad. Now You Tell Me should have been a single. It is about a woman who finds another love in her life and the old love tells her he needs her desperately and tells her this after she found someone else.

Reba McEntire is one of my favorite Country Artists of all time. She can sing about anything and make it sound good.

Way to go Reba!!!

- One of the best of all time!!

Reba does an excellent job on this album. My favorite, of course, is Bobbie Gentry's Fancy. Reba does an excellent job of portraying "Fancy." Like all of her albums, Reba has songs on here that will both rip your heart out and then make you smile with wonderful memories. Many people do not like her music of the 90s because it isn't "country" enough. If you are a true Reba McEntire fan, you will appreciate whatever she sings. She has a unique style that no one has been able to imitate thus far. The Rumor Has It album is a MUST for any Reba fan. She has and continues to do very well with her God-given talents. Thanks for blessing us with those gifts Reba McEntire!

- A very mature outing

Rumor Has It had been certified selling 3 million on 03/24/99. What can I say I love this CD. This is the first CD I bought of Reba's after having seen the video Fancy in 1993. Fancy was the first song I played then I skipped to You Lie and loved that song even more. I took a listen to the rest and started buying every CD out there.
