ROOM TO BREATHE not only represents Reba McEntire's first album in four years, but also acknowledges what her time away from making music has done for her creativity in-between appearing on Broadway and performing as the star of her own sitcom on the WB network. Despite this flood of success, McEntire's stayed true to her country fans by singing songs that touch on the day-to-day struggles of the common person.

Among the topics addressed are the horrors of Alzheimer's disease (a touching "Moving Oleta") and the finality of a busted-up relationship (the Vince Gill duet "It Just Has to Be This Way.") With guest background singers Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski aboard, Reba also looks at the loneliness occupying the void of a broken relationship on "Once You've Learned to Be Lonely." Thankfully, this Okie native balances the gloomier aspects of this outing with downright uplifting fare that includes the gospel shouter "Love Revival," the equally inspiring "Sky Full of Angels," and sibling lovefest "My Sister," featuring harmonies by Linda Davis. With ROOM TO BREATHE, Reba McEntire has simultaneously hit her music-making stride while managing to recharge her creative battery.

- Kathryn's Room To Breathe Review
Reba has definitely out done herself this time. Room to Breathe is the best album in my collection of Reba albums. With slow sad songs that make you think like Secret and He Gets That From Me to the fast up beat songs like Love Revival
and Sister. She really gets into the mood of the song with her voice and takes the listener to a whole new level of feelings.
If I had to rate this album I would rate it 6 out of 5 stars. This album has meant so much to me, being a single mother going to school, that I can always count on Reba to make me feel good when I am down. It is wonderful to know that Reba's music will forever be around.

- Pure Country!
Reba is amazing on this CD! She goes back to her roots of traditional country on "I'm Gonna Take That Mountain" the first of 4 Top 10 singles off this SUPERB album! Also "Love Revival" & "If I Had Any Sense Left At All" are nothing but pure country! The CD is a GREAT mix with some contemporary country as well with "He Gets That From Me" and "Somebody" which was a #1 HIT on Billboard! And in traditional Reba fashion it's filled with some AMAZING emotional songs with "Moving Oleta" and "It Just Has To Be This Way" a new duet with Vince Gill which is nothing short of a masterpiece! I DEFINETLY reccomend this CD!

- Reba McEntire is back after having ROOM TO BREATHE!
Reba's three to four year break from the music business has only helped re-energize her voice and talent.
Reba's latest single "He Gets That From Me" was recorded as a tribute to the 9/11 families. Reba made a special request to the writers to rewrite the lyrics and the lyrics were changed to reflect the relationship between a mother and son going on with life without the father. The son reminds mom of dad more and more everyday. The song is very touching.
"Somebody" became McEntire's twenty-second number one hit. An upbeat song giving people hope to never give up on love because it could be the very same person you pass by everyday.
"I'm Gonna Take That Mountain" is a country tune complete with a banjo, fiddle and a mandolin.
"Moving Oleta" is an emotional tune about loved ones dealing with the effects of Alzheimers.
"It Just Has To Be This Way" is McEntire's third duet with her good friend Vince Gill.
ROOM TO BREATHE is a must for every Reba McEntire fan and a great example of talent to make new fans.

- REBA IS BACK! :)
Reba McEntire has returned to the country music world with her latest release, ROOM TO BREATHE. Her second single from the album, "Somebody", went #1 on the Billboard Album charts, and deservedly so. She has 11 other great tracks on this album, including her current single, "He Gets That From Me", and other great tracks including "Moving Oleta", my personal favorite, which discusses Alzheimer's disease, which affects many individuals and families each year. This album is definitely one you should pick up as soon as possible, and share it with your friends and family. This will make great Christmas gifts this holiday season!

- PERFECT Mix of TRADITIONAL and CONTEMPORARY Music!
Reba's 2003 release of "Room To Breathe" is the PERFECT mix of Traditional music - I'm Gonna Take That Mountain (Top 10), If I Had Any Sense Left At All, Love Revival, & One You've Learned To Be Lonely - & Contemporary music - "Somebody" (#1 HIT), "He Gets That From Me" (Top 10), "My Sister" (Top 10), & Room To Breathe". Reba also touches on GOSPEL in the spunky "Sky Full of Angels" and really gets the spirit moving! Reba is also brave enough to sing about the cripling illness of Alzehiemers in the toughing "Moving Oleta". In addition to all this other great music, Reba also collabarates with Vince Gill on the highly emotional "It Just Has To Be This Way"! I HIGHLY reccommend this CD to anyone, whether you love traditional or contemporary country music! Do yourself a favor, BUY THIS CD!
