Disco de Steve Earle: “Live at Montreux 2005”
 Descripción (en inglés) :
Recording information: 2005.
<p>One of those rare singer-songwriters who can transfix an audience with only his voice and an acoustic guitar, Steve Earle does exactly that on LIVE AT MONTREUX 2005. Drawing from material that spans two decades, the Virginia-born roots-rock hero offers up spare, stripped-down takes of songs best known in their electric versions, including "Copperhead Road" and "The Revolution Starts Now," along with stark numbers such as the haunting prison narrative "Ellis Unit One," which first appeared on the DEAD MAN WALKING soundtrack.

- Steve Earle Stripped Back and Real
This DVD captures Steve Earles performance at Montreux solo playing just guitar or mandolin. A powerful performance and in between songs he lets the audience know how he feels about the state of the world and America in particular from a fairly unbiased view point. He talks about what his inspiration is behind a lot of songs and gives a meaningful and real performance. This is a must have for anyone who likes good music.
- Raw and alone
I can't say I'm not biased. I almost universally love everything Steve Earle has recorded. I like what he and a guitar can do with nothing else to accompany...for most this would qualify as deep catalog, but I find it essential.
