- Worth it for LaCosta alone

It is unfortunate that LaCosta Tucker never reached the popularity that her sister Tanya did, as it is my opinion that she is the better singer of the two. Nothing wrong with Tanya's singing, but it has more of a hard edge to it. LaCosta's voice is much smoother and you can definately hear the difference between the two on this recording. They do sound remarkably alike in some ways, but definately not the same. This album is worth the price alone for the great collection of LaCosta songs, which are very difficult to find, even on LP record. Having Tanya included is just that much more of a bonus. This recording will not disappoint. If you are a Tanya Tucker fan and have never heard LaCosta, you are definately in for a treat!

This album is a must have!

- Go Sisters Go

Man, this is one recording set that I have been waiting years for. I have always wanted some of LaCosta's recordings and now I have them. I was a huge fan of her hit, Western Man when it was first out, and have since lost the 45RPM. They do have the same vocal quality, however I think what is so different about this CD is for the fan that knows the style of music Tanya sang in the early years, and how LaCosta's style differed. The Tanya songs on this CD are all cuts from the years after LaCosta stopped recording, but they are some of the best and makes for a great set of music to throw in the CD player and let play.

- SISTERS AN ANTHOLOGY

I PURCHASED THIS CD FOR THE LACOSTA MUSIC. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FAVORITE OF MINE AND I AM GLAD HER MUSIC IS FINALLY COMING OUT ON CD. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CD. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE LACOSTA AND TANYA PERFORM TOGETHER MANY YEARS AGO. LACOSTA HAS A VERY UNIQUE SOUND AND I DON'T THINK SHE SOUNDS LIKE TANYA. I THINK SHE SOUNDS MORE SOPHISTICATED AND HAS A STYLE ALL HER OWN. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE OF HER MUSIC ON CD IN THE FUTURE. THE CHOICE IN SONGS WAS EXCELLANT, HOWEVER I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEEN " LOVE, TAKE IT EASY ON ME" PLACED ON THE DISC. THE TANYA MATERIAL WAS FIRST CLASS. I PREFER THE FASTER TUNES, AS OPPOSED TO THE SLOW BALLADS.

- Nice To Have LaCostas Music Out Again!!!

I remember listening to LaCosta on an 8-track tape my mother had. It was one of the family's favorites. It's so hard to find a lot of those great titles anymore. What a treat to find this one! Tanya has been one of my favorites as well. Her better efforts are here too, and I appreciate them all. Great CD! If you like LaCosta, and Tanya this is the one for sure!
