- Out from under the hat!
This woman has had a remarkable attitude toward life and music, ending up making her own path, statements and sound. What I think most women would like, but had to settle for less. Paths like she follows are hard to walk, being on the road for months and delivering night after night, the voice and stage presence that define Terri Clark to her audience.
She has always reminded me of a thematic rebel and a proud lady. So it is refreshing to see her out from under the hat. Somehow, I really can't picture her doing anything else. Sing on, girl! We're listening!

- The Long Way Home
This one sounds like the Terri Clark that I first started listening to and collecting several years ago when she released her first US cd I love her misic and style. It had been too long since her last release
- One of Clark's most Passionate Performances
Terri Clark has always been able to rock it as hard as, and often harder than, the boys in Country Music. Gypsy Boots is all the proof anyone will ever need of that. Fans know she's also capable of turning out a great love song songs "Whatever Happens in Vegas (Follows You Home)," and heartfelt message numbers like "A Million Ways to Run," about recovery from addiction, with the best of them. This time, though, she's doing so on her on label. Terri Clark has rarely turned out performances as passionate as she does here. The songs on the first half of the album are among her best, with unique and unexpected chord shifts, amazing guitar work, and beautiful counter melodies that add to the songs without weighing them down. The songs on the second half are good, but not quite as stellar as the first. They're buoyed by the closer "You Tell Me," a gorgeous duet with fellow Canadian country singer Johnny Reid. The Long Way Home is validation of all of Clark's talents. It's a shame that Mercury records and Nashville radio didn't appreciate those talents as much as they should have.
- great CD, even better live show
I bought this CD after seeing Terri on her Unplugged and Alone tour, mostly based on her performances of "Gypsy Boots" (I prefer the acoustic demo version) and "If You want Fire". The rest of the CD is pretty good, an older, mellower Terri Clark shows especially on "If I Could Be You" and "You Tell Me". I'm also looking forward to more new music, she has been writing with Kristen Hall, formerly of Sugarland and did a song they wrote together called "Northern Girl", based on being from Canada, "where the men are men, and so are the women". Terri Clark is a cutup, see her live if you get a chance!
- Terri Clark is AWESOME!
Bought this album and of course love it, love it, love it. Every song is great. My daughter and I saw Terri Clark in Las Vegas in November 2009. Not only is she a great singer her show is incredible and she is so beautiful. I am so glad Terri has been able to put out another album for all of us who love her dearly. For those of you who haven't had a chance to buy her music or see her in concert. I HIGHLY recommend you do one or both. Terri keep on putting out music for us and of course continue your live concerts for your fans. YOU ROCK TC!
