i haven't heard a statler song that i don't like and if one isn't their own, they do a great job. i buy all i can obtain... they have always been my favorite. ages same as mine and so many songs just fit and feel right... i'm happy to give this a five.

- Good CD, but the Statlers have done better

The Statler Brothers have a good CD here. Songs like "It Only Hurts for A Little While", "The Rest of My Life", "To Make A Long Story Short", and old Statler favorite "Some I Wrote" are good. And they are RIGHT ON with "Same Way Everyime." However they are giving us Non-Statler tunes like "Lifetime of Loving You In Vain", "Nobody Loves Here Anymore", and "Is It Your Place or Mine." While these are good songs, they are separated from the types of songs that brought the Statlers to the top.

- This is country

George Jones' song "Whose Gonna Fill Their Shoes" asked a question that has yet to be answered. The Statler Brothers' "Nobody Wants to be Country" seems to be a self-fulfilling prophecy in that very few (George Strait, Clint Black, Mark Chesnutt and Alan Jackson) have stepped up to continue the work that both of these legends mastered. If you're looking for real country music and unparalleled harmony, the Statler Brothers is the answer.
