The Statlers are timeless. Wonderful harmony. Whether ballads or something rather whimsical, their songs always tell a wonderful story. I was probably 10 years old when I heard this time and time again at home or in the motor home my family would take on trips...and it was on an 8-track system! - The Best of the Statler Bros.
The Statler Brothers have been one of my favorite country groups of all times. When you get an album from an artist or group, you don't always like all the songs on the album but with the Statlers I always enjoy every song. This particular album has a couple of special songs on it. Bed of Rose's was a favorite of my Grandmother and I always think of her when I hear it and the other song is Carry Me Back. That song brings back so many wonderful memories from my younger days. I remember listening to the Statler
bros. at my older brother`s house over 30 years ago . The music was always catchy and sublime at the same time.I decided it was time to try hearing it again. I`m glad I did ,it has a truly timeless appeal,and just as catchy as ever.
