Been a Statlers fan since the 70's. My brother bought me my first Statlers cassette "10th Anniversary" and I've collected every album I could get my hands on. This album is just as great as the other 50 albums I've bought. Also....if your into the Statlers I suggest you check out Wilson Fairchild, and their former name Grandstaff. You won't be disappointed.
I'm Not Sure the Statlers would have been The Great "SUCCESS" They were all these Years without the ability to "Touch Our Hearts" with All the Songs They Wrote! A Personnel opinion,but it was The Truth,The Heartache ,The Fun,! So many of Our emotions were Touched ! At least in My life as well as Friends I have!~Flowers on thw Wall" It's Funny,It'sTrue to life ~ I'll go to My Grave Loving You (is a Classic!) ~Atlantia Blues~I could relate to Those Songs ~Honestly,If I wanted a Good Cry,All That was necessary was to put that Album on & I would Cry Myself to Sleep! Another Heart Breaker was " Partners in Rhyme" !I'm Sorry You had to Be the One~You Don't wear Blue so Well~Give it Your Best~ More Than a Name on the Wall ~ Anyone who Followed The Statlers Career knows their "Song Writing Abilities" Were One of a Kind! My Son would come in & take one Look at Me & Say,"Ok,Where is the Album? In 2003 When The Statlers were Gone (into retirement,I mean) I had Records,Cassettes,Even "8 tracks" (Whatever happened to those machines?) & of Course CD's! As I went on the Search to try to find All their Music on Cd's It has taken years & I am Still Looking ,However,I have records That There doesn't seem to have ever been turned into even a cassette? I don't have nearly as many albums as They made! What I have found is as They started the TV Show I quit keeping Up with their Cassettes? If I don't stumble onto a Name of the Album,than I don't even have a name to search for? It seems like it will take longer than "Forever? ! As Our Generation Hit 55 Who couldn't relate to"More Like My Daddy Than Me!" Than there were the ones That We laughed at" How to Be a Country Star~You've Been like a Mother To Me~(Who Doesn't Love Our USA?) ~Thank You World ~
However,This album really shows Their Children with The Brothers Talents To Make You Feel! Kim Reid,(Herald Daughter) had to have been a Youngster when She Started ~Blessed Be~Is It Your Place or Mine ~Who Am I to Say~ He'll always have You Back Again ( Is on This ablum )~ On this Album You will also find Will Reid (Herald's Son) Debo & Langdon (Don's Sons) The Next Generation will carry on What their Dad's started!
At Last The Brothers are " HOME" enjoying what They worked on All Their lives & This is proof They left their talent to carry on For Them!
