Disco de The Statler Brothers: “Live & Sold Out”

Great Album. Acapella "When the Roll is Called up Yonder" is great.

I think this was the peak of the group w/ Jimmy.

Don't know why Harold and Don's sons didn't team up w/ Jimmy and keep the Statler sound going.

I love their live preformances so much! There was a negative story that came out when They decided to retire! However,keep in mind their last concert sold out in 1 hour & a few minutes. Plus people came from All over the US ! In a DOWN economy that says something! Anyway,there is so much humor That is brought out during a live preformances ! Plus They are the only group I know in ALL these years that sounds just as good live as in a studio! They blend so well! I think the credit may go to Phil! Don & Hearld both said He fills in ! I haven't seen them in many years but one concert stays with You forever! I have been to other entertainer's concerts & I will say Country music are the Best! However, I always tried to gets tickets if I knew They were appearing anywhere within 150 miles! Reba does bring out the excitment in Her shows! The Statlers Just come across as if You already know them! That goes for the first time to other concerts!

That was the Best part of Saturday nights the years They were on TNN! I think I read somewhere The show that had been # one for all seven years! It was canceled because it attracted audiences between 30-50 years old ! I can tell those people in My own family " I had more money than My kids!" Plus,They were not allowed to listen to some of the trash that was recorded as Music ! Folks pay for what They want! I bought I don't know How many CD's that have "I will go the grave loving You"! How Stupid was that decision! I will bet someone regreted that!

Back to this CD! I can get carried away! I enjoyed it so much & look to see their Saturday evening programs on TNN to be made for sale on DVD! That will be exciting!
