- The best Tom T. yet!!

Tom T. Hall's voice has definitely changed, but not his style. This is his best work.

- This is a must have for Tom T. Fans

Great stories set to bluegrass from "The Storyteller" and his wife Dixie. Tom is sounding a bit older, but who wouldn't at 71. This is a great effort resulting in some great songs including my favorites: "A Hero In Harlan", "Somewhere In Kentucky Tonight", "Once Upon A Road", "Pretty Green Hills" and others. This cd has climbed from number 7 last month (September 2007) to number 2 for October 2007 on the Cashbox Magazines Top Bluegrass Albums chart. I highly recommend this cd!

- Tom T Hall sings Miss Dixie and Tom T.

I grew up in Northern England listening to Tom T Hall. He was my Dad's favourite singer and all 8 of us kids loved him too. He is one of the great song writers of all time.

His first album in many years teams his wife and himself with a backing of bluegrass musicians.

His voice has started to go, but he still is the "Storyteller". His songs are like Annie Proulx short stories. They capture the essence of people struggling through their everyday lives. Whether it is a coalminer or a soldier returning in a coffin from an ill fated war. We can relate to his characters.

I only listened to the album once because I bought it for my Dad and gave it to him on the weekend.

Great arrangements and great songs.
