Trace Adkins Album: “Dreamin' Out Loud”
Description :
Personnel: Trace Adkins (vocals, guitar); Michael Spriggs (acoustic guitar); Brent Mason (electric guitar); Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Rob Hajacos (fiddle); Terry McMillan (harmonica); Matt Rollings (piano); Barry Beckett (organ); Bill Cuomo (synthesizer); Glenn Worf (bass); Eddie Bayers (drums); Denis Wilson, Curtis "Mr. Harmony" Young (background vocals).

Principally recorded at Sound Shop, Nashville, Tennessee.

All tracks have been digitally mastered using HDCD technology.

Trace Adkins' voice is earthy and rich with emotional experience. He applies that dusky baritone to songs that detail the ups and downs of life and love, from the randy "I Left Something Turned On At Home" to the introspective, sentimental title song. To his credit, Adkins is anything but a country purist. Eschewing the new traditionalism of singers like Randy Travis, he looks to other musical traditions for inspiration, covering the Wilson Pickett hit "634-5789" and belting out "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing," which sounds for all the world like a lost Graham Parker (not to be confused with Gram Parsons) track.

- "Dreamin' Out Loud" is real good country music
My sweetie gave me this album for Christmas because she knew I really liked the song "This Ain't No Thinkin' Thing." I guess it kind of describes our love for each other. I also liked the harmonica sound on "It was You" - nice touch. The whole CD is pretty darn good (singer and band both real country). I enjoyed this album so much I bought his other two CDs from Amazon. When they arrive I'll play them with my sweetheart snuggled up in my arms.

- Blockbuster Debut Album
This CD has had many hits from it. In my opinion, EVERY ONE should have been a hit. When I bought my first CD, "Comin" On Strong", I loved his voice and songs so much that I got this one and the other ones after and every one since. I have been thrilled and enthralled with all his songs and concerts. He sings with a sincerity and depth of feelings like nobody else. He also likes to make jokes and comments, that add a uniqueness to his style, all his own. I listen to every one of his CDs still.
