- Absolutely Awesome! Best country music soundtrack in any movie ever!

All you Waylon fans and classic country music fans will adore this classic. Great story line, an honest glimpse into a performer's rise to stardom! And the soundtrack is absolutely the best ever, with a glimpse into the Grand Ole Opry with appearances by Loretta Lynn, Ernest Tub, Johnny Cash and others...A real live cast of classic country performers. It has romance, ambition, casting couch technique, and family life of a simpler time past. Teens will surely get a kick out of the standards of these wonderful days gone by! I love it as much now as when I first saw it at the drive-in, while in my footed-pajamas in the back seat of my parents' car! And Waylon had to have been one of the most handsome guys ever and his talent could certainly be recognized in this early stage of his career. Oh you will just love this one! And the soundtrack, though hard to find, is out there. I know because I have it on original vinyl (album)!

- waylon

the movie was a great movie, I enjoyed watching it but I thought for the price and quality of the movie was way out of range. If I had seen the movie before purchaseing I never would have paid that price for it because I thought the Quality was not as good as it should have been.

- Nashville Rebel: Waylon Jennings.

Something wrong with the DVD. It skips alot where you cant make out what is going on. Do not see the end of the movie, too messed up.Had to return it, hoping to get a replacement that is not defective, was very dissppointed as we really looked forward to see this movie.

- Great Film starring a young Waylon Jennings

This is really a great film! It has so many classic Nashville stars in it. The movie is actually kinda fortelling, it's about this young musician trying to break in (played by Waylon) and finds a manager who believes in him on his rise to fame. Just a few years later in real life and Waylon was a superstar! When this came out prob no one ever heard of Waylon.

I really enjoyed the music in the film, Loretta Lynn does "You Ain't Woman enough to take my man", Tex Ritter does "Hilbilly Heaven" Waylon does some very early work but all are great songs..."Green River" (not the CCR song), "Nashville Rebel" and "Nashville Bum".

Great scenes from the late 60's of the Grand Ol Oprey and Tenn as it was, a very great film.
