If you're looking for a budget alternative to get introduced to Waylon Jennings, this isn't going to likely be your choice. This set covers Waylon's early days when he had broken away from Buddy Holly and isn't going to contain any of his outlaw recordings. While this set does show a work in progress, it simply isn't the Waylon that you'll hear on classic country radio.
If you're familiar with Waylon & don't want to go overboard & purchase a huge Bear Family set, then don't be afraid to pick this up at a budget price. However, don't expect to learn anything from the CD as there are no liner notes whatsoever. Also, some if not all tracks are presented in fake stereo and below par sound quality. The fake stereo is defeatable via either a y-jack or if you play it through a DVD player which will let you select "mono left" or "mono right".
always been a 1 fan of Waylon Jennings just love his MUSIC
